Makers Mark

First exercise using CAD software in a decade. I drew an illustration of a maker’s mark to stamp in the bottom corner of prints, reversed it, then used Fusion360 to extrude it, then 3D-printed this on our home machine. Notes: extrusion should be ~0.5 cm. Shallower depths in earlier tests failed to prevent ink from contacting the background. The printed PLA isn’t the ideal surface to deposit ink for printing – I added a coat of liquid latex to see if it would provide better texture, but the latex couldn’t adhere. ...
